EP175 Son Kenny | Ken Courtright’s Today’s Growth | Growing Business Today

TGN 175 | Disrupt And Interrupt

People get into a routine when they go home from work. They listen to the same radio stations and go through the same patterns. What most business owners don’t realize is the power of that vacuum that each person has in their day. Ken Courtright points out that if business owners want to get their message heard, they have to disrupt and interrupt those patterns. Ken encourages you to watch a video he shows at every one of their digital footprint events to discover how critical it is that we disrupt and interrupt before we have any chance of being heard to get our message out there in the workforce.

Son Kenny

This is hilarious. It’s awesome. The seeds of this episode started a few years ago. The next time you get to a computer, I want you to type in my name, KenCourtright.com/SonKenny. I want you to watch that video. Right before you press play, I want you to understand that I show this video off at every one of our Digital Footprint events. I showed it off to the EO in Dubai. I showed it in Canada. I show it all over the world and I recommend you show it off to everybody.

There is a need to disrupt and interrupt daily patterns especially in the workforce. Click To Tweet

Maybe one of the strongest pieces of evidence that marketing needs to disrupt and interrupt before it can be ever heard or absorbed. What I want you to understand when you’re watching this 38–second video is the power, the vacuum that each person has in their day. People get into a routine. They go home to work. They’ve listened to the same radio stations. They’re in the same patterns. We, as business owners, if we want to get our message heard, we have to disrupt and interrupt their patterns. I can’t tell you how many people we counsel that says, “Our ads, our commercials, they’re just awesome,” but they’re not gaining traction. They’re like, “Nobody’s calling us. Nobody’s clicking on our website. Nobody’s clicking through.” It’s usually instantaneous.

Disrupt And Interrupt: What most business owners don’t realize is the power of that vacuum that each person has in their day.

We ask, “Are you disrupting them? Are you interrupting them? Are you just politely tapping on their shoulder?” I don’t want to steal the thunder of this. It’s a 38-second video, but I guarantee you’ll get the point when I explain that this is the greatest example I’ve ever seen of how critical it is that we disrupt and interrupt before we have any chance of being heard to get our message out there in the workforce. Check this video out. It’s awesome. I would love any feedback from anybody to Ken@IncomeStore.com. I did a four-part series. I had a number of requests. Some of the requests are a bit too personal and I didn’t want to comment with a growth plan. If you’ve got something going on, you have a current business challenge, if you could keep it general, “This is my name, this is the company, this is what I do and my current business challenge is this.” If you’d like me to comment on it, I’d be happy to do an episode around it. You’ve got to leave any personal nature out of it so I can comment on it properly. I hope this helps. I hope you enjoy the video. Take care.
