In a protein-based ketosis based diet, you go for a period of two or three days in a row where you take in less than 30 to 40 grams of carbs. When your body is in ketosis, it burns fat first and you’re losing one to four pounds of fat a week. When you do a legitimate ketosis diet, you don’t have to change anything but what you eat and your body is built to burn fat. However, our mind and body does and can play tricks on us. Starting a ketosis diet, you may find yourself digging into a carb here or there once in a while. What this has to do with business is everything. This is how a ketosis business growth works. Cutting out sugar and carbs in general is like having a business meeting with seven other people at a restaurant and you only order chicken breast and green beans. It is a change in complete habit and complete discipline when you get to a point where you would never want to order anything but a chicken breast and green beans, no matter what party you’re at and no matter who’s drinking and what’s eaten around you. Within two to three days, after studying which marketing arms or potential lead sources you want to try, one of the three you try is going to generate leads like you’ve never seen before.

The Role Of Ketosis Business Growth In Generating Leads
I hope this episode comes through. I’m just going to jump right in. I just hope people get the message on this one. For the past twenty some years, I have fluctuated maybe fifteen, twenty pounds in my weight. I used to be a wrestler. I wrestled at 167 pounds all four years in high school. I’m constantly fluctuating between 180 and 190, something in there. Here’s the key. In 2001, I did what’s called the BODY FOR LIFE, Bill Phillips’ challenge. I lost sixteen pounds of fat, added nine pounds of muscle, used a protein-based diet, and I got ripped.
I looked exactly like I did in high school wrestling. A little bit heavier, looked actually better, much more symmetrical. It only took ten weeks. It was amazing. I decided to put all that fat back on and then for the past few years I’ve actually been doing very good with a protein-based and ketosis-based diet and that’s in which you go for a period of days where you take in less than 30 to 40 grams of carbs. You do that two or three days in a row. You go into ketosis, your mouth tastes a little bit irony. Your breath stinks a little bit for a few days. You might have a headache for a day or two, but then you adjust.
The key is this. When your body is in ketosis, it burns fat first and you literally just melt fat. You’re losing one to four pounds of fat a week. It’s exciting to watch it happen in five to six weeks. Everybody you know is saying, “What happened to you?” They look at your face. It’s awesome. Here’s the key. When you do a legitimate ketosis diet and it doesn’t matter, you do not have to exercise, you don’t have to walk, you don’t have to change anything but what you eat, and your body is built to burn fat when you set the barometer and thermometer properly.
I’m in the middle of one right now. I’m dropping fat like crazy, looking good, so watch this. Here’s the key. When you get to a certain point, when you get your body exactly where you want it to be look-wise, you’re exactly where you want to be. Your clothes fit right. Then you look at food completely different than when you’re off this diet. You’ll have a few Reese’s pieces or you’ll have an Oreo here or there and then all of a sudden I found myself, I think I had four bowls of ice cream in an eight-hour period of time and I didn’t even realize it until I was going to bed and I woke up the next morning and there was a half a bowl of ice cream sitting next time. Then I go, “What the heck did I just do?” A couple of years ago, I wouldn’t touch ice cream if you paid me. That phrase, “A moment on the lips doesn’t touch a lifetime on the hips.”
It’s so true, here’s the key. The mind operates different than the conscious and subconscious. What I’m saying is you’ve got your conscious mind, you’ve got your subconscious mind. Then there’s the little sucker right in between. It’s like the one good guy in your left shoulder, the bad guy in the right shoulder. It’s like a hybrid and so what I’m saying is this, our mind and body does and can play tricks on us and so starting a ketosis diet, I still find myself once in a while dig into a carb here or there and part of this is physiological. Your body is craving these carbs. It’s how it’s built. Because you can’t do a ketosis diet for more than I think 75 days, something like that because the brain needs carbs and stuff like that.
Anyway, my point is you get to a point where you just literally see the fat falling off. You brush your teeth and you go, who am I? Who is that person in the mirror? Whose face is that? It only takes ten to fourteen days to get there. There comes a moment where you go to yourself. Next time you walk past the fridge, ice cream. It’s reticular activation. You don’t even see it. My kid could walk past me with every piece of junk in front of me. I don’t even see it to where prior to jumping into ketosis program, not only do I see every care by crave, every carb man, peace a pizza.
Forget about it. I’ll take it out of somebody’s hand and eat it, but when you’re in what is called the zone, which a lot of professional body builders, fitness experts get into and live in it, you wouldn’t dare touch a carb. That’s just how it goes. What in the world does this have to do with business? Everything. I want you to pretend that adding three different marketing channels that you’re currently not using today, so if you’re not using local radio, $50 a day, if you’re not doing Facebook ads $10 a day, $100 a day. Here’s the key. As many of you have heard in a lot of my prior podcasts, you have got to have three marketing channels you’ve never used before in a testing phase at all times.
Watch this. The marketing channels are the exact opposite of carbs. This is where I was hoping this comes out right. In our normal state, we crave carbs because the body wants carbs. We grew up unfortunately on soda pop, potato chips, and crap. Our body is used to being built that way, so it wants to continue to be built that way. The opposite of that is in business, the average entrepreneur, the average business leader is used to growing their business with one, two or three current and watched this word comfortable marketing channels.
To add three foreign marketing channels, to get three different forms of leads and potential clients dripping in that are different to what they’re currently managing today is as foreign as stopping carbs cold. Cutting out sugar, cutting out carbs in general, cutting out the crap food. It’s like, “What? You want me to do what? You want me to have a business meeting with seven other people at a restaurant and you only want me to order a chicken breast and green beans? Are you kidding me?”
That’s what I’m saying. It is a change in complete habit in complete discipline, but you get to a point where you would never want to order anything but a chicken breast and green beans, no matter what party you’re at, no matter who’s doing what and drinking what neaten what around you. Here’s what I’m saying. For those of you that are willing to trust me and take this on as a challenge, please find a way to, within 72 hours after studying for a couple days which ones you want to try, add three different marketing arms that you’re not currently using today.
I don’t care how you go about it. Don’t get good. Get done, do it. Get it done. I’m telling you, if you add three different potential lead sources that you have never used before and you find somebody to help you manage these and you just eat the pill, you just swallowed that terrible tasting pill, extra effort, extra work. “What is this? This doesn’t make any sense. Why are we doing this?” Just do it and do it for six or eight or ten weeks. You will never ever let your company go another quarter again without testing three different marketing channels. I’m going to make the prediction because I know what’s going to happen.
One of the three you try is going to generate leads like you’ve never seen before, and you’re going to go, “This is amazing.” Two of the three are going to suck. They were a waste of time, effort, and money, and then another twelve weeks from today, or the time listening to this podcast, or I should say twelve weeks from implementing this exercise, you’re then going to launch three new channels you’ve never tried before and you’re going to keep doing that until you kick the bucket. Get to it.
